"This post is unavailable": what it signals, and why your archive should not live on a social platform

What the message usually means "This post is unavailable" (or *publication indisponible*) covers several very different situations: the post was deleted by its author, it was removed by automated enforcement, the account was restricted or disabled, or the content is blocked in your region. The interface rarely distinguishes them, and the person who posted it is often no better informed.
