Three end-to-end encrypted options compared on the criteria that matter for privileged material — with each product described only through its documented architecture.

Three private surfaces. Same zero-knowledge architecture.

Ground rules for this comparison We describe competitors only through what they publicly document, we do not reproduce pricing that changes constantly, and we do not claim certifications we lack. Verify every point against each vendor's own documentation before deciding.

What the three have in common All three are end-to-end encrypted storage services: files are encrypted on the client, and the provider does not hold a routine decryption key for content. That already puts them in a different category from mainstream storage for privileged material.

Tresorit — the enterprise-oriented option Publicly documents client-side encryption, granular sharing controls, watermarking and administrative policy management, and publishes compliance certifications aimed at enterprise procurement. Suited to firms whose procurement requires certification badges and centralised policy administration. The trade-off is cost and a feature set centred on storage rather than a full workspace.

Sync.com — the straightforward option Publicly documents zero-knowledge storage with sharing links and versioning, positioned as a Dropbox-style replacement. Suited to firms that mainly need encrypted storage and simple exchange, with less emphasis on team collaboration surfaces.

DRIVUNO — the workspace option Zero-knowledge across the whole workspace rather than storage alone: encrypted drives, channels, DMs, calls, documents, mail and a secrets vault sharing one client-side key hierarchy. Matter keys are sealed per participant with X25519, removal rotates the remaining envelopes, protected links support passphrase, expiry, view budget, watermarking and revocation, and grants and accesses are written to an append-only trail. We do not hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification today, and we publish that on our compliance page.

Choosing between them - **If procurement requires certifications today**, that constraint is decisive and you should shortlist accordingly. - **If you mainly need encrypted storage and links**, the simpler options do that well. - **If your matters involve continuous collaboration** — internal discussion, calls, client channels, large bundles, external experts, credentials — a single encrypted workspace removes the copies that accumulate when documents travel between products.

The evaluation that beats any comparison table Run one real matter through two candidates for two weeks: upload a multi-gigabyte bundle, add an external expert, send a client a document without an account, then remove the expert and inspect what the audit trail shows. Whichever tool survives that without anyone reverting to email attachments is the right one for your firm.
