What a transfer service normally sees

Classic transfer tools receive your file as plaintext, keep it readable on their infrastructure for days, and resolve download links server-side. That is fine for a press kit and inappropriate for an unreleased campaign, a case file or a client's raw footage.

How DRIVUNO delivers instead

The browser encrypts the file locally, uploads ciphertext, and produces a link whose secret part stays client-side. Our servers can prove a blob exists and enforce its expiry; they cannot open it. Behind the transfer you also keep a permanent encrypted vault, so delivery and archive are the same system.

Frequently asked questions

Is Google Chat end-to-end encrypted?

No. Google Chat encrypts messages in transit and at rest with keys Google manages, so Google can access message content; client-side encryption is limited and not the default. DRIVUNO Rooms is end-to-end encrypted by design: room keys are sealed per member with X25519 and messages with XChaCha20-Poly1305, so we store ciphertext only.

Is Microsoft Teams end-to-end encrypted?

Only for one-to-one calls, and only when enabled. Channel messages, group chats and files in Teams remain readable by the platform. In DRIVUNO Rooms there is no unencrypted mode for channels, DMs or attachments — PSTN phone calls and SMS in the Call & SMS Center are the documented exception and are not end-to-end encrypted.

How large can a transfer be?

Transfers are bounded by your plan storage rather than a per-file cap; uploads are chunked and resumable, so multi-gigabyte deliveries are routine.

Does the recipient need an account?

No. A public encrypted share opens in any modern browser and decrypts locally with the key contained in the link fragment.

Can I revoke a link before it expires?

Yes. Links can be destroyed immediately, and every link expires within 24 hours regardless.
